Dispute Resolution Services of North Texas Inc. is proud to offer high-quality mediation training at very reasonable prices. We provide a 40 hour Basic Training class and a 30 hour Family Training class, both of which meet the requirements of Section 154 of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code and the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.  View 2017 scheduled training dates.

Our 40 hour course is generally offered two times per year. The training is scheduled over two weekends; each weekend the class meets Thursday evening, all day Friday, and all day Saturday. Completion of the Basic Training qualifies you to be a court-appointed mediator as defined in Section 154.052(a) of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code.

DRS North Texas also offers the required training for those who are interested in mediating family cases (divorce and child custody matters). The Family Training course consists of 30 hours, in accordance with the standards prescribed by the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable. (A minimum of 24 hours is required by Section 154.052 (b) of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code.) Family Training is held twice a year, and consists of two weekend sessions (all-day on Friday and Saturday for two weekends). View 2017 scheduled training dates.

Additional training courses on advanced topics are available periodically.
